What do you think in your opinion is the most overrated military fighting force in history?

If I were to go around my neighborhood (in Kyiv, Ukraine) and ask every soldier I meet about their choice for the most overrated military unit, they would probably all give me the same answer:

The US Navy SEALs, of course!

This doesn’t mean that this is a bad unit, they are probably on pair with most other Western country’s top units.

However, there aren’t a dozen books and movies on the market about Germany’s “Kommando Spezialkräfte” or the French “Commando Marines” (although the latter are probably much better than any SEALs unit).

There also never has been a public fight in the British Special Air Service about who killed which terrorist and nobody ever had a flag on their vehicle promoting a presidential candidate and his campaign.

Only US Navy SEALs seem to be comfortable on these (low) levels. Therefore, they totally deserve to be called the most overrated military unit.
